Sometimes it helps to know that you are not going through the challenges of life with epilepsy alone. Throughout the year, we host events where you can meet individuals and families who are also affected by epilepsy and seizures. Check out our calendar to find the latest information about our upcoming events, or read below to learn more about some of our annual favorites!
We host several monthly support groups, which can be a great opportunity to meet people. For more information about each group please contact Danielle at 717-730-6779 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Support groups are held on the following days:
March 26th is a recognized Epilepsy Awareness Day across the globe, and we celebrate in March each year by hosting a Purple Party in Pittsburgh. This afternoon event is filled with lunch, music and crafts, celebrating epilepsy awareness, and we encourage you to wear as much purple as possible!
Each fall, we host Family Picnics in Pittsburgh, Altoona, and the Harrisburg area (location alternates between north central and south central PA). Every year, the theme for the picnics are different and that inspires the games and crafts that you can participate in. Our picnics are a potluck, so we will provide the main dish and we ask participants to bring a side or dessert to share with friends new and old.
Every October, we celebrate Halloween with our Spooktacular event in York. We encourage you to dress in your favorite costume and join us for an evening of treats, games, and spooky fun!
At the end of the year, we host Holiday Parties in Erie, Johnstown, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh. The Holiday Parties feature lunch, music, and festive activities. You can take part in an optional gift exchange, and sometimes we even get a surprise visit from Santa!
