Scholarship Program

The EAWCP has offered a scholarship program since 2001. This year, thanks to the generosity of private and corporate donations, the program awarded ten scholarships totaling $10,500.

To be eligible for the EAWCP Scholarship, a person must: have a diagnosis of epilepsy/seizure disorder, provide proof of acceptance to a post-secondary academic or vocational program, be a recent high school graduate, attend school full-time, and be a legal resident of western/central Pennsylvania. 2018 Scholarship Recipients

The EAWCP congratulates the recipients of this year’s annual college scholarship program. Ten outstanding high school seniors, all of whom are faced with a seizure disorder/epilepsy, received a scholarship to further their education. Winners were selected based on several factors, including their ability to maintain a positive academic grade average and overcome adversity.

Mia Belgie

Mia Belgie is graduating from CAPA High school in Pittsburgh. She will attend Temple University majoring in English. Mia is the recipient of the $1500 Rohr Golden Family Scholarship. She is awarded this scholarship for having the highest overall scores. She lives in Allegheny County.



Chelsea Bisi

Chelsea Bisi is graduating from Derry Area High School. She will attend Penn State University majoring in accounting. She lives in Westmoreland County and is the recipient of the EAWCP’s $1,000 Julie McCormick Scholarship.



Tyler Dreher

Tyler Dreher will be a graduate of Millersburg Area High School in Dauphin County. He plans to attend Penn State University to major in engineering. Tyler will receive an EAWCP’s $1000 Stabler Foundation Scholarship.



Austin Felicetti

Austin Felicetti is from Pittsburgh, Allegheny County. He is graduating from North Hills Senior High School and will attend the University of Alabama majoring in athletic training. Austin is awarded the EAWCP’s $1000 Mason Langford Memorial Scholarship.



Grace Gilfert

Grace Gilfert lives in Snyder County. She will graduate from Selinsgrove Area High School and will attend Shippensburg University majoring in psychology. Grace is the recipient of an EAWCP’s $1000 Stabler Foundation Scholarship.



Jackson Hatfield

Jackson Hatfield is graduating from Franklin Regional High School in Westmoreland County. He will attend Seton Hill or Robert Morris University with a major in Education. Jackson is a recipient of the EAWCP’s $1000 Celeste Katherine DeFrank Memorial Scholarship.



James Henry

James Henry lives in Mercer County and will graduate from Commodore Perry High School. He plans on attending Pittsburgh Technical College and major in graphic design. James is the recipient of an EAWCP $1000 Scholarship.



Blake Johnson

Blake Johnson is graduating from McDowell High School in Erie PA. He plans to attend Mercyhurst University with a major in Biology and Environmental Science. Blake will receive the EAWCP’s $1000 Hinds Family Scholarship.



Megan Kelley

Megan Kelley is graduating from Waynesboro Area Senior Area High School in Snyder County. She will attend Penn State Mont Alto and major in Physical Therapy Assistant. Megan is being awarded an EAWCP $1000 Scholarship.



Teddy Kunkel

Teddy Kunkel is from Greensville, PA in Mercer County where he is graduating from Greenville High School. He will attend Thiel College with a major in Speech Pathology. Teddy was awarded the EAWCP’s $1000 Center for Inclusion at UPMC Scholarship.
