Employment Assistance

People who have a diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure disorder are often able to work, yet they are unemployed or underemployed. Many have been forced to accept positions far below their ability and educational achievement. Through the EAWCP Employment Program, people who have epilepsy or a seizure disorder can access assistance in maximizing their employment potential.

The EAWCP offers individualized employment services designed to assist you in identifying, developing, and obtaining employment opportunities. Our goal is to help persons with epilepsy to enhance their job search, job acquisition, and job retention skills.

The EAWCP offers an array of activities such as vocational planning/counseling, epilepsy education, job-seeking skills training, individualized job placement, and on-going support and follow-up.

We help with resume writing, interviewing skills, networking and job search skills.

To qualify for the EAWCP Employment program, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have a medical diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure disorder.
  2. Be unemployed/underemployed and be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Express a personal interest in fully participating in the program.
